Primary Education

I've worked with primary-aged students since 2008 as both an English and Spanish teacher.

During 2008 and 2009, I worked as an English language assistant (TESOL) in public primary schools in Barcelona, Spain. I had the pleasure of learning about Catalan and Spanish cultures and how they uniquely shaped their system of public education. I also learned that gifted, empathetic instructors are to be found worldwide and that grilled onions are an underated appetizer!

Like many primary schools in the USA, the two schools in which I worked were divded into lower, middle, and upper levels. I helped learners between the ages of 7 and 12, or middle and upper levels, practice using English.

After graduating from Boise State University's Education program in 2011, I began work with the Foothills School of Arts and Sciences. Working with some very caring, wonderful staff, I began teaching beginning Spanish students the fundamentals of the language.

Below I've divided my experiences by the schools in which I worked.
